Information we collect

When you call us, submit the trip request form, or text us, we collect the information you provide: your name, email address, phone number, the trip you are interested in, your group size and preferred dates, and anything you write in the message field. Calls to our phone line may be answered by an automated assistant and are recorded so the captain can call you back with the details right.

We also collect standard technical information automatically when you visit the site, such as your IP address, browser type, device information, referring URL, pages viewed, and how you interact with the site, through your browser's request headers and standard server logs.

How we use your information

We use the information you provide to respond to your inquiry, quote and book your trip, send you confirmations and reminders, and ask how the trip went. We use technical information to operate, secure, and improve the site and to prevent abuse.

We do not use your information for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects without human review.

Cookies and tracking

We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies that are strictly necessary to operate the site. We do not run third-party advertising cookies on this site.

We use Vercel Web Analytics and, where configured, Google Analytics for aggregated measurement of page views and site performance. On pages that contain a form, we may load Google reCAPTCHA v3 to detect automated abuse; reCAPTCHA collects device and application data and sends it to Google for analysis under Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

Text messaging (SMS)

If you provide your phone number and give consent, Walker Fishing Fleet, Inc., doing business as La Bella Charters may send you text messages, including by automated means. You give consent either by saying yes when asked on our phone line, or by ticking the unchecked opt-in box on our trip request form. Message types are limited to your inquiry and booking: replies to your request, trip confirmations and reminders, and a request for feedback after your trip. Occasional promotional texts (seasonal openings and specials) are sent only to guests who tick the separate, optional marketing box on the form. We do not buy or rent lists and we do not text anyone who has not opted in.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. You must be at least 18 years old to opt in. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of any purchase.

We do not share or sell mobile phone numbers or SMS consent information with third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes.

How we share information

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with the service providers we use to operate: our CRM and messaging platform (LeadConnector / GoHighLevel), our phone assistant provider (Vapi), our website hosting and analytics provider (Vercel), our bot-protection provider (Google reCAPTCHA), and our transactional email provider (Resend), and only to the extent they need it to perform services for us.

We may also disclose information where required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our business, our guests, or others.

Data security

We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect the information we collect, including encryption in transit (TLS/HTTPS) and access controls on the systems we use. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.

Data retention

We retain your information for as long as needed to respond to your inquiry, run your trip, and for legitimate business and legal purposes, after which we delete or anonymize it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, or to limit how we use it. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below.

Children's privacy

Children are welcome aboard with their families, but our website and messaging are directed to adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
