Planning your fishing trip in Destin should be easy. From what to bring to what you might catch, the questions we get most, answered.
Where does Charter Boat LaBella fish?
We fish the waters around Destin, Florida and the Gulf of Mexico. Your fishing grounds will depend on the length of your trip, weather and conditions, and the species we are targeting that day.
Do I need a fishing license?
No. The license is included with every trip, along with rods, reels, tackle and bait. There is nothing to buy before you step aboard.
What do we need to bring?
Yourself, sunscreen, something to drink and a snack, and a camera for the catch. All fishing gear is on the boat and rigged before you arrive.
What are the target fish?
Inshore trips put you on red snapper, grouper, amberjack and cobia. The offshore run chases blue marlin, tuna, swordfish and mahi. What we target on the day follows the season and the bite.
How many people can come on the boat?
Up to six guests. La Bella is a 40-foot custom Berkey Carbon, and the base trip price includes six anglers.
Is the trip family friendly?
Yes. All ages are welcome, first-timers included. The 5-hour Shore Thing is the usual pick for families and anyone who wants a full morning without an all-day commitment.
